Adverbials
Another difficult aspect of English that translators face is deciding where to place adverbs and related modfying elements in a sentence. DHC's Adverbials course takes an in-depth look at how to phrase sentences in order to most clearly convey the intended meaning and emphasis. Lesson 1 explains in detail the three basic adverbial positions: Beginning, Middle, and End. Lesson 2's topics include discussions about deciding on the placement of multiple adverbials in one sentence, and how to use adverbials in negative sentences and infinitive structures.
